SHOT PEENING

It improves the distribution of the surface tension of the material, increasing the fatigue resistance of the treated piece.

a particular surface finish

Shot peening is a similar process to metal blasting, but it basically ensures a better cleaning result and confers a better aesthetic finish to the piece. This process entails bombarding the surface of a component, at a controlled high pressure, with shot, that is, small spherical media. The processing produces, in fact, residual compressive stresses in the surface and in the underlying layers which manage to decrease the internal stresses when the piece is subjected to stresses. In this way the material is more resistant to fatigue. We also perform ball brighteners. We are equipped with manual and basket machines.
